Dear math student,

Here is some important information about things like registering for courses, signing up for exams, and examination and grading.

Register for courses in Ladok:

When you are admitted to a course, you have to register for the course in Ladok in order to:

  • Keep your place on the course
  • Get grades reported on the course
  • Sign up for the exam
  • Receive study grants from CSN

You can check if you are registered for the course in Ladok. If the course shows up under “current” (sv. “aktuella”) then the registration is complete.

Note that Ladok and the course webpages (kurshemsida) are not linked. Even if you are activated/enrolled to the course webpage you still need to register for the course in Ladok.

The last day to register for most courses that start in March is on Wednesday 10 April. (NOTE! If the course is given in collaboration with KTH, double check the date yourself in Ladok). If you have problem with the registration, please contact us in time before the web registration closes in Ladok.

Signing up for exams (note: 10 days):

To participate in a written exam on campus, you have to sign up for the exam in Ladok.
You can sign up starting from about a month before the exam date and the deadline is 23:59 10 days before the exam.

  • Example: if the exam is on the March 23, the period when you can sign up for the exam ends on March 13.

Note that we cannot sign you up for the exam after the deadline. If you have failed to sign up in time for the exam, you will have to sign up for the next upcoming exam date.

If you have signed up for the exam in advance but realise at a later date that you will not write the exam, we ask you to de-register for the exam (avanmäla) in Ladok.

Examination and grading:

It is important that you are aware of the rules and regulations for the particular course you are currently enrolled in.

You can read more about examination rules here: During your studies

Exam returns:

Exam returns take place during the student office's opening hours. Before you can come and pick up your exam, you need to fill in this form. When your exam is ready for return, you will receive an email from tentataerlamning@math.su.se. If you have not received the email, your exam is not ready for return.

Course evaluations:

Course evaluations are an important tool for us to find out what you students think about our courses. When the course is finished you will get an evaluation by email to fill out.
You can find previous course evaluations here:
Course evaluations at the Department of Mathematics.

Keep your email address updated:

Make sure you keep your address up to date so you won’t miss relevant information. You can read more about this at the university’s webpagehttps://www.su.se/english/education/it-for-students/digital-tools-and-services
