Mathematics III - Abstract Algebra VT25

I was asked in class what are the next steps in the road of algebra. There are no classed offered ad bachelor level, but a bachelor student can take classes at master level (not more thatn 30 credits can be used to graduate though). Here some options:

• Advanded algebra given every year in the fall
• Representation theory of finite groups given every 2 years, next time in the spring 2026
• Galois theory given every two years, next time in fall 2026, if not substituted with something elese
• Reductive algebraic groups given every 2 years, next time in the fall of 2026

If you take the topology class you might also consider a class like Algebraic Geometry (my research topic) which combines Algebra and Geometry.

And remember: you can alway write a bachelor thesis in algebra :)
