This autumn, the department will launch two exam formats for in-person written exams that we Directors of Studies have developed as a complement to what is offered via Tentamensservice: TentamenPlus and TentamenGuld. We hope these concepts will increase student throughput, boost the department’s revenue, and attract more students to our programs. They are also a way to reduce our costs for Tentamensservice, which have risen dramatically. Our colleagues in the Faculty of Science have expressed strong interest in the concept.
TentamenPlus
Students who choose TentamenPlus will sit their exam in the conference rooms in House 3 in Albano (the Nordita building) and enjoy a more comfortable and quieter environment than the exam halls in Frescati. The fee is SEK 299, which includes a light snack and a shoulder massage. In addition, we guarantee that the course instructor will visit the exam room twice.
TentamenGuld
We believe TentamenGuld will be the main attraction. It is essentially a subscription to TentamenPlus, where you are automatically registered for every exam in the courses you are enrolled in during a semester. The price is set at SEK 1,999. TentamenGuld will reduce the problem of missed registrations and allow us to generate revenue from unused exam seats. We also believe it may encourage a higher study pace, as it becomes worthwhile to take 5–6 courses in a semester instead of four.
A more detailed presentation will be made available before the start of the autumn semester.
Please also contact Hanne Brundin as soon as possible if you have experience providing massage, so that we can begin planning the autumn exam sessions.
best, Marc
