Dear math student,
Now it's been a few days on the course and we hope you've gotten started with it! Here is some important information about things like registering for courses, signing up for exams, and examination and grading.
Register for courses in Ladok:
When you are admitted to a new course, you have to register for the course in Ladok in order to:
- Keep your place in the course
- Get grades reported in the course
- Sign up for the exam
- Receive study grants from CSN
You can check if you are registered for the course in Ladok. If the course shows up under “current” (sv. “aktuella”) then the registration is complete.
Note that Ladok and the course webpages (kurshemsida) are not linked. Even if you are activated/enrolled to the course webpage you still need to register for the course in Ladok.
The last day to register for most courses that start in the AB-period is on Sunday February 9th. (NOTE! If the course is given in collaboration with KTH, double check the date yourself in Ladok). If you have problem with the registration, please contact us in time before the web registration closes in Ladok.
Keep your email address up to date
When you activate your university account you add your email address. This address is connected to your SU email address (your university account user id followed by student@su.se). This is the address that Stockholm University uses to contact you during your studies. Make sure you keep your address up to date so you do not miss relevant information from your teachers etc. To check and update your address go to Digital tools and services.
Signing up for exams (note: 10 days):
To participate in a written exam on campus,
you have to sign up for the exam in Ladok.
You can sign up starting from about a month before the exam date and the deadline
is 23:59 10 days before the exam. (Note that the exam may
close earlier sometimes due to holidays etc. Always double check in Ladok)
- Example: if the exam is on the March 23, the period when you can sign up for the exam ends on March 13.
Note that we cannot sign you up for the exam after the deadline. If you have failed to sign up in time for the exam, you will have to sign up for the next upcoming exam date.
If you have signed up for the exam in advance but realise at a later date that you will not write the exam, we ask you to de-register for the exam (avanmäla) in Ladok.
Examination and grading:
It is important that you are aware of the rules and regulations for the particular course you are currently enrolled in.
You can read more about examination rules here: During your studies.
Exam returns
You get your corrected exam scanned and sent to the email address that you have linked to your account on the course website. The email address is linked to your anonymization code that you had on the exam, which in turn is linked to your personal data via the exam registration in Ladok. We only send out exams that are written in August or later. Return of previously written exams is referred to return on site, read more here: Return of exam
We send your exam from the email address tentaaterlamning@math.su.se.
