    Course contents:

    ●      Basic concepts of health economics and economic evaluation

    ●      Cost and outcome estimation (incl quality of life)

    ●      Cost-effectiveness analysis with applications

    ●      Time preference (discounting)

    ●      Model choice

    ●      Uncertainty (incl value of information analysis)

    ●      Infectious disease and vaccine specific issues (incl broader economic impacts, pandemics, eradication)

    ●      Policy making

    ●      Hands-on exercises in R

    General prerequisites

    It is expected that course participants have basic knowledge of statistics and mathematics and rudimentary knowledge of infectious disease epidemiology. It is also expected that participants have basic computer software knowledge and preferably are familiar with the software R. 

    IMPORTANT: All participants are expected to bring a laptop with R installed on it.
