    2nd ESPIDAM 2025

    Registration opens late January. Early bird registration (reduced fees) ends March 31, and all registration ends May 31.

     

    Registration fee for PhD students and Post Docs: 

    Early bird (up until March 31): Each course module costs 2750 Sek (including 550 Sek VAT), approximately €250, so attending two course modules costs 5500 Sek, approximately €500. 

    Between April 1 and May 31: Each module costs 4000 Sek (including VAT), approximately €370.

    Registration fee for other participants: 

    Early bird (up until March 31): 4125 Sek per module (including 825 Sek VAT), approx €380. Double for two modules

    Between April 1 and May 31: Each module costs 5500 Sek (including VAT), approximately €500.

    What is covered per module: lectures and course material, 3 lunches, 5 coffee breaks, one reception

    What is not covered: travel and local transport, accommodation, other meals, insurance, …

    Venue: ESPIDAM will take place at Stockholm University on Campus Albano which is situated between the main campus (Frescati) and the centre of Stockholm. Teaching will take place in House 1 (this is the building closest to the city), on level 2 (rooms 1-5 - signs will specify). Please find the map.

    To enter Hus 1: 

    • from the main road, on level 2: Roslagsvägen 30 (write Roslagsvägen 28 when using GoogleMaps)
    • from the back, on level 4: Albanovägen 28 (so go downstairs two levels)

    Transportation: 

    • To reach Stockholm from Arlanda Airport, there are many options: train (the Arlanda Express or the SL commuter train), bus (e.g. Flygbussarna) and taxi.
    • Campus Albano is connected to the metro stops Universitetet (red line) and Odenplan (green line) through bus 50; it is also reachable by a 15-20 minutes walk from Tekniska högskolan and Universitetet.

    Visa: If you are not a EU citizen and if you do not have a residence permit issued by a Schengen country, you might need a visa to visit Stockholm, please check the requirements here. 

    Accommodation: Stockholm offers a wide range of hotels and other accommodation in various price ranges, see the common hotel sites for details. It seems like late June is busy for hotels, so don't wait too long before booking your accomodation!

    • Three hotels within walking distance: Hotel Arcadia, Hotel Time, Elite Palace Hotel. 
    • Hotel Arcadia can offer a 10% discount for registration prior to May 23 (assuming there are still vacant rooms). Link.
    • Hotel Time can offer a discount of 20% (for the first 35 registration) if registering before May 12 using this link.
    • Elite Palace Hotel can offer a 15% discount for registration prior to May 23 (assuming there are still vacant rooms). Link.
    • Hotel apartment with cooking possibility (not so close): Biz Apartments

     

    It is possible to receive a Certificate of attendance. Send an e-mail to espidam@math.su.se after the course is over.


    Arrival Registration
    For courses the first half: Monday June 23 at 8.00-9.00 just outside the lecture rooms.
    For courses the second half: Wednesday June 25 at 13.00-14.00 just outside the lecture rooms
