Here some information for you!
The course will be on Thursdays 9:15-11:00 instead of 10:15-12:00 till at least February 21st. With the excpetion of next week: unfortunately Cramer was already booked 9-10.
Today: David went over a little bit of history and motivation, reviewing homological algebra in the cateogries of R-modules.
I introduced the basic terminology from category theory and the definition o linear catgories and zero objects. Next week I will go over products and coproducts, I will define additive categories and additive functor and reach to the definition of abelian catgories.
Time allowing I will show that the category of $R$-mdoules has enought ingective objects and will give a quic overview of the axioms AB1-AB6 and their duals.
